Exact same thing happened about a month ago in St. Peterburg, FL. A tanker
flipped and caught fire under an overpass and it ruined the concrete and
parts of the bridge. The ramp was closed for over a month. It didnt cause
a lot of trouble with traffic

The overpass had NO fire retardent. The towers had some type of rated fire
retardent. No, it wasn't asbestos, but that's not the only one out there.

The same thing happened in New York some years ago. A car rearended a
fuel truck under an overpass. The overpass didn't collapse but it was
closed because of weakened steel supports. We also had a road closed
because of a tire dump fire that generated thick black smoke. It was
an illegal dump.
