Deregulation of 1996, look what kind of mess we are in NOW! That's all I
have
to say! I like Comcast for their High Speed Internet Service, but this
Netflix
thing? They must be afraid of competition!
>>>> it would seem that Comcast is "afraid of the competition", seeing the

they'll go to to disable competing companies- no? Please compare and
contrast with
the results of deregulation since 2000 as well, if you're going to mention
it.
what's so crazy about this is our own people that live in this country could
careless until one of these Big Corporations does something stupid, like in
2009! Screw the Corporation Bail Outs and take care of the Blue Collar
Working

interference in this matter if it weren't for the fact that the US taxpayer
paid
umpteenth billions over the last 20+ years for the development of
the internet, and now the few major corporations who have apparently been
deeded the
rights to develop things further (and mark my words, there soon will be
fewer and fewer
as they consolidate and become more powerful) seek to eliminate competition,
claiming they
did it all themselves. Perhaps my take is simplistic, but I welcome anyone
who can
"set me straight" on this and tell me it isn't so. If Comcast and others
declare that they
own and will regulate the internet, then taxpayers should be given back a
return on their investment
from Comcast, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft, eBay etc. In my world, I have to
pay for my raw materials.
