Alex: Go to www.sinesystem.com Go to support, then to RFC-1B the there are a bunch of tech notes. I believe they can help you solve the touchtone problems.
I have several stations that were using the old Motorola bag phone with the standard telephone adapter kit
with both Sines Systems and Burk Arc-16. They managed to get their Since Systems working. If you can find any help call Mark Piszola (spelling ) at Sine Systems.
I also have many operating with both units on the Telluar Cell Fones for home, business and boat usage.
Thanks for your comments, I haven't been to Key West in 8 years but in the 1980's and 1990's I spent many a weekends down there scuba diving between calls. Gayle Swafford was a very good friend. He had a Class C but wa only running at that time about 70 kW. erp.
