Yeah --- this will go into the AF wastebasket but....

>From the recent activities of the FCC, we can derive where all broadcasting is going. The FCC recently gave away white space, the spaces between the few remaining TV station frequencies. This prevents new allocations from occurring. This is not a tin hat or conspiracy theory thing. It is a well-organized plan to eliminate broadcasting altogether. This allows agencies to determine who is getting information and entertainment from whatever source.

With broadcast operations, nobody knows who is watching and listening. This bothers some if they cannot control what the unwashed masses are doing. The "private" agencies will be the first to acquire and categorize user data, as is now done by cable companies. Then, after the masses accept this intrusion as it becomes commonplace, the government will become the dominant user of the data.

When former President Bush spoke about the "New World Order," he let the cat out of the bag. He was sworn to uphold the United States Constitution, which at the very least is supposed to preserve this country. Anyone who says that he was involved in the continual process of destroying America is labeled a "conspiracy theorist," and his or her words are rejected as the mouthing of a fool.

I sure hope that the ordinary working persons, the sustainers of this country, soon wake up before all has been lost. I have met the enemy and they are those who proclaim their freedom, but leave it to the politicians to protect it. The Government is not your friend --any government. It is a necessary evil that must be continually controlled because, since it controls all the necessary resources, it will expand without bounds unless confined and controlled.

Cheers,
Richard B. Johnson

The BDR contains a note about Wheatstone commissioning a survey of engineers, and operations and technical management as to what business models will generate the most revenue for broadcasters.
