[BC] Audio "proofs"

WAAY Channel 31 in Huntsville used VanNostrand out of Hotlanta.

I would turn the beam on and off so they could "identify" us.
Even as a novice sign-off engineer I found that I could leave the beam off
and they would have me turn the crystal trimmer ( I didn't ) and we  
received as many on-frequency calibration postcards with the beams off  
as whth the beams on...........
