[BC] mix minus for codecs

hmmm... ok.  This is certainly a way I never thought possible.
We're using Comrex equipment...  Access Rack and Portable, as well as a 
Bric-Link and Arc app.
Depends on the connection as to which algorithm we use.  Typically it's 
one of their 'Bric' ones though.

How would this work?
