[BC] Spectrum

I do not believe in conspiracy theories, only well orchestrated plans. The current HD-TV and HD-Radio schemes have gotten me thinking about "The Man Who Knew Too Much," so I probably should keep my perceptions to myself, but has anyone actually analyzed what is happening to the RF Spectrum space?

Aside from obsolescing AM with high levels of power-line and incidental radiation, destroying FM with built-in compression schemes, and wiping out television as we knew it by producing receivers with such low sensitivity that they'll only work with a few miles of the transmitters, now the various communications services are vying to cut up what is left amongst themselves for pay-per-use services.

Something smells.
