[BC] Cyberpower brand UPS

In order to get a "leg up" on impending power outages, some UPS sets measure the frequency under the WRONG assumption that an imminent power failure is going to drag Niagara's power turbines down in speed! When they are connected to a local gen-set, the frequency is often not as expected and they cycle on/off/on/off, etc. Even some APC power supplies do this and they are supposed to be "good." I suggest you try a UPS of the kind you want to buy. Many office supply stores will let you try one as long as you bring it back with all its packing material if it doesn't work. If you use a charge-card, they really don't have much choice!

Cheers,

Watch out for this brand of small UPS (they are sold at Office Depot).
