But Richard, do TV stations really  have control?  Like radio, I get the 
impression TV is now heavily  automated.  It's not like the old days when 
there was someone switching  in MCR.  
 
If there is someone in MCR there's  a good chance they are overseeing 
multiple video feeds to secondary digital  channels and co-owned stations -- 
sometimes multiple stations in other  markets.
 
In cable headends there can be one  operator overseeing over 100 channels 
with local commercial  inserts.
