The frequencies are the same as with NTSC (analog TV). Each channel is 6 MHz wide, same as before.

Channel 7 is 174 MHz to 180 MHz, and Channels 8 through 13 progress in 6 MHz increments. Channel 14 is 470 MHz to 476 MHz, and Channels 15 through 51 again progress in 6 MHz increments.

The difference between NTSC (analog) and ATSC (digital) is that the visual carrier for analog was 1.25 MHZ above the lower edge of the channel and was considered the most important component of the 6 MHz bandwidth of the NTSC channel. For ATSC, the full 6 MHz is equally important, so the center frequency (3 MHz above the lower edge of the channel, or 3 MHz below the upper edge of the channel) is listed as the channel frequency (Channel 7 is 177 MHz).

I've tried various key words to search for the frequencies of
the digital television channels but can't come up with
anything. Anyone have a link to this information? Also,
what is the band width of a digital television station?

Thanks,

Tom
