"Death of Analog TV" and "Dark Angel"

     In the 2000 SciFi TV series "Dark Angel", directed by James Cameron,
we are told in the intro to every show that an Electro-Magnetic Pulse
killed everything electrical and electronic on June 12, 2009.  The  
called it simply, "The Pulse".

     That's tomorrow.

     Is it just a coincidence that tomorrow is the death of analog TV?
