[BC] serial printer assistance

OK that is good to hear. I was told that such methods of logging were 
disallowed just after 9/11/2001 by interpretation, not by rule change. I 
never heard it from a second source so am not surprised it is not so. I 
do remember losing EASWATCH log files by DJ error while running it on a 
general purpose studio computer.
