Yes C-QUAM is better sounding and with a minor mod.can send data (slowly)
on the 25 HZ pilot. Mot would never let us at the semiconductor sector
implement  that feature.  50 million chips sold -- IBOC has a long way to go.

Agree! And as bad as HD-Radio is for FM, it is Thousands of times  worse
for AM! Not only does C-QUAM sound better then HD on 
proper  recievers, it also
HELPS, not hurts the Mono AM radio  reception.
