Long after I was established in radio, my dad admitted to me that, when I was a child, the five words that never failed to bring a chill to his heart was my voice from downstairs happily proclaiming, "Wow Dad! It comes apart!"

Alarm clocks, Motorific model cars, electric food mixers, Lafayette hi-fi units... nothing was safe.

Thanks for having such cool crap around the house for me to play with, Dad!
