now wait a minute,,, the MONKEES actually did play they're  instruments...
PETER TORK played the banjo and the base.
MIKE NESMITH played lead guitar and was a heck of a song  writer.
MICKEY DOLENZE was taught to play the drums, and did.
DAVID JONES played piano, base and the infamous  tambourine.
 
and yes there really is a SANTA CLAUSE, all the adults who love  they're 
children are the great man.
now the EASTER BUNNY and MILLI VANILLI is another story
