What we have been told by the police is that there are now "steal to
order" gangs that specialize in certain commodities. This site is on
a ridge about an hours run on a hogback, located with many other tv,
radio, two way, and cell sites. The gang knew exactly what was in
the reel, as the labels could be read from the fence. The only good
thing about it is that the coax was Dielectric, actually made by
Hitachi. It requires a special tool kit with jigs to install a
connector. The first off connector was installed, but the other end
did not have a connector. Dielectric is going through their records
to see if anybody they do not recognize as a steady or known customer
calls wanting to buy a connector or rent the tool kit. State
Troopers told me last year that the gangs steal high value stuff like
only the latest Optimods, etc.

I am afraid that they coax is hanging on a tower somewhere in Alaska
or the Pacific Northwest......sigh
