One pc you might want to check out is the large beastie from ASUS.
Although there is a 2 rack unit high model, ours is more like 4 or 5 ru.

The model we've got has muffin fans as big as 4 inch blades  Thought being
to move
volumes of air a bit more slowly rather than hyperdriving a smaller fan to
get the same CFM.

Monster sized fins around the cpu, too.  3 or 4 inches tall, 4 or 5 inches
across, circular with fins about every 20 degrees or so - lots and lots of
surface area exposed to the airflow.

Doesn't make a bit of nose.
