[BC] fallout from cuts

I wouldn't say it was myopic Steve - without putting words at Rob's fingers, I'm guessing that what he is saying is that he specs and maintains the pipeline. What goes down it is not his concern - that's programming's area. Whether it is Cool Hits/Hot Licks, or 8 channels of HD data providing traffic control services, power company network monitoring, GPS control of agrictulture systems or any one of many other things that come to mind is totally irrelevant to the engineer, whose primary function is to ensure the most reliable and cleanest path to the antenna, so that the content can be delivered to the best extent the medium can provide. If you are doing voiceovers or providing content to a station, do you spend a lot of time worrying about what model transmitter they are using, or whether or not they have a backup STL chain? Not myopic, just mission focused. My opinion only :)

Best,

Jeff
