There is jazz in NYC.  It is below 92 where it can be done well. 
Country just never worked here and that includes attempts that go 
back almost 40 years. It is true that if stations loose enough value, 
some will take much bigger risks with formats.  But that comes after 
many on this list see their 401Ks shrink dramatically. I for one 
don't think I want to take that big of a hit for the team.

New York has been very stable as far as formats and personalities 
go.  Change comes only when needed (at least usually).

That's right! Give the market what it's lacking, and super-serve them. Get
the advertisers by pounding the bricks and handshakes. NYC has no more Jazz
station. Someone should be able to pick that up and make it work. There's no
Country station there, either.
