I really have to shed some doubt on that. WFAN for quite a while was 
the highest billing station in the industry. Their ratings stank but 
their demographics were young males. Usually very hard to reach. Most 
sports stations don't have great numbers. The most successful are the 
ones with the local franchises. I've never seen a sports talk 
station, without the local teams, be very successful.
