I ordered up four recorder-couplers, new solid state devices made for Ford
Industries Code-A-Phone interfaces that had, line sieze, audio in and audio
output.

The were installed on the four talk show lines by the phone company. A "D"
connector was on the bottom of each box in the telco room.

Incidently we installed these interfaces on many of our transmitter site
telephone lines set to answer on the 6th ring and provide off the air audio down
the line for agencies and our national program director. I finally had to
make them get other numbers as too many people findout the numbers and
listening to the radio stations, we could never used the phone at the transmitter.
This was before cell phones and dialup remote controls.
