The way I heard it, the CBS-FM format change occurred in part because the sales staff was engaged in an all-too-familiar bleat:  "We can't sell it."  However, the last reported annual sales figure for the station was $34 million, so they must have been selling *something.*

Even more ironic is the fact that the last wave of firings at the CBS Radio group, a week ago, included Chad Brown, CBS-FM's general manager...the one who, just over a year ago, broke the news to the air staff on less than one hour's notice that they were being let go.  You don't suppose the suits blamed him for the station's sales tanking?  Nah...
