  I have tossed the idea around on part15.us and possibly "tech assist"  for
a few years now about using streaming over WiFi as a viable alternative to
conventional part 15 AM. you are allowed up to 1W and a 6db omni  (4W ERP)
on both 2.4GHz(802.11b/g) and 5.8GHz(802.11a) for point to multi point, and
there has been talk over the years about manufacturers getting vacated TV
Spectrum for faster and longer range Wireless Lan equipment. we shall see.
