[BC] What happened to fun radio?

I have noticed recently that my kids don't listen to the radio at all 
unless they are riding in the car. I remember as a teenager the 
excitement of being the 10th caller, winning the current #1 record, 
and having that 45 sent to me in the mail! The 10th caller these days 
wins 2 tickets to the current home remodeling or boat show. You would 
think the record distributors would still want to promote themselves.
