[BC] DST vs Daytimers

The situation with DST could be worse. In 1974, we went to Daylight Saving
Time the first Sunday in January. In 1975, we went to DST on the last
Sunday in February. I remember waiting for the school bus at what seemed
like an idiotic early hour. I was in 6th and 7th grade at the time.
(yawn...I can't wake up.) I didn't remember the details, but I looked it
up. The US Naval Observatory website and Wikipedia.org have details. Oh,
and back in '74, much of the radio audience was AM. Plus, many AM stations
didn't even have flea power at night. Did the FCC allow stations to adjust
their times for day and night power or sign-on and sign-off to compensate
for loss of Morning Drive Time? Be glad they didn't do it that way, again.
