I should have been a little more specific. If the dealer activates
the radio they're closer to the customer and more concerned that they
not bring the car back. If it's activated at the factory the dealer
might not even know. The radio is a very small part of the sale of a
car unless someone wants a full blown audio/video system.
When I bought my Nissan I took the audio system out of the Jeep. I
was told it was of no value to them as part of the trade-in. I was
told "leave the old radio on the seat and make sure the speakers can
make noise." I'll get more for it on Ebay than it's worth to them.
The radio doesn't sell the vehicle. The Hemi does.
