Paul mentioned the Terk antenna. I'll second that but add that having a 
Select-A-Tenna 541
is great as well. I use that with a Sony 7600G and have found the 
combination to work exceptionally well.
I would imagine a Delco car rx with the Terk would be a very good 
combination for not a lot of money.
