Depending on the location the tubular might take on water. Weep holes are 
likely
to get plugged after a year or so. Then if water accumulates and freezes in 
the winter
you might have have a "grande problema". We did get away with water-pipe 
construction
in Ecuador but a cold night was 45 degrees.
