Many McCurdy people are still around in the business in Canada, and 
McCurdy gear is still a mainstay in campus and community radio.

CKLN Radio in Toronto for instance just moved to sunny new studios after 
ten years the basement at Ryerson University.  Front and center is their 
McCurdy console, built like a Mack truck, half as heavy, repairable, and 
absolutely perfect for volunteer use. http://www.ckln.fm

You would be hard pressed to walk into any non-commerical radio station 
in Canada and not find at least a couple pieces of furniture or 
equipment painted McCurdy blue.
