My uncle's story from the late 1940's.....he was offered exclusive US rights
to import and distribute a line of microphones for an investment of
$15,000.00.  He worked in radio in New York, and later owned two recording
studios.

He didn't have the 15k right then, so he passed up the opportunity.  To
distribute Neumann microphones in the US.
