ACGK!!!!   Wonder how many of us have stories like these, though?  Probably 
everybody....

I've got several, myself ... Barry's got at least that many ... who else 
would'da been In Charge if only we'd thought selling cheap gold jewelry over 
a 24 hour CATV network was a sane idea back when it was just a pitch....???

I've got a near-miss from the world of music ... my original financial 
partner almost 20 years ago now is a musician ... drums, classical guitar 
and keyboards ... he grew up in Chicago and back in the early late 60's 
-early- 70's a bunch of his school friends wanted him to play drums in a 
band they had started ... "Nobody'll ever get radio play for a horn band 
today," was his polite reply as he declined the offer....
