Try listening to a 50 kW LOCAL signal being drowned out by the combination
of aerial utility line attenuation and RFI from the same lines.  I can say
from personal experience that is worse than any adjacent interference you
can expect from a properly adjusted IBOC emitter.

Seattle is probably the best argument for changing VHF from FM analog to
IBOC.
