[BC] Looking for a WAV file modification program

Well, it works without a bunch of errors and will convert formats a bit for 
you - but - it is a bit rudimentary (such as, I'm still having a dickens of 
a time trying to pick up one tiny bit of audio and drop it on another 
track... the example would be editing out a letter from a word, and make it 
sound right, where just cutting wont work, you need the right xfades... I'm 
sure audacity will do it, but I haven't found the functions all yet.  Like 
the time compressor / expander, ff play, scub with the mouse... I'm sure 
that stuff is all in there, but it'll take some fiddling to find it all...)

  One thing it WILL do well is allow you to stor a bunch more audio on your 
machine than some other software...
