[BC] Clear Channel Wants More?

No, radio billing is not down like that. Clear has been affected by low
performance at the billboard and entertainment divisions, but radio is
pacing well compared to the industry, which is having a slow growth year.

Clear Channel radio is doing no better nor no worse than the rest of the
business, even though Clear is the leader and innovator in the reduction of
commercial time on all stations in its group, which means they have less
inventory to sell.

In any case, Clear Channel has relatively low debt, and can easily survive
downturns in the ad market.

Inside Radio has not reported anything on a desire for changes in ownership
limits... a moot point, anyway, as the review of ownership for 2002 is still
held up in the courts so no new change is possible or probably.

On the news this morning I heard that billing for Clear
Channel is down thirteen percent. The report also said that
Clear Channel wants to be able to own ten stations in markets
where there are sixty or more stations.

Is this accurate information?

Tom
