[BC] XM Radio Interference

That's exactly how Barry M. and I found the frequency of a translator that had
been installed at the 97.1 TX site in Tucson. I took off the car's antenna and
set the radio to scan. It stopped twice, once at 97.1 and the second time at
100.1, the translator's frequency.

The quick-and-dirty solution is to remove the car antenna.   When I
installed a Roady2 in my wife's car, up here in the frequency-congested
northeast, the only way to avoid interference was to remove the antenna.
 You'd have to be literally on top of the transmitter for interference
to occur with the antenna missing.
