All the more reason to put the back up in the dummy load every week or two.
In fact, I had one of my back ups here in Louisville on the air every week.
All day Sunday.  Same thing for the generators.  Load tested every three
months by pulling the switch to the building to simulate an actual power
outage.  The program director for this station asked once "what if it goes
off the air"?  I said, "would you rather it go down on Sunday afternoon or
Friday afternoon"?  He got the point.  When the back up was on the air, it
afforded time to maintain the main rig.  It's nice to work on the
transmitter without sweating bullets to get it back on the air!
