With parents not minding their kids playing incredibly violent video
games I wonder if a public execution would be dramatic enough to
compete with a regularly scheduled cop show or Grand Theft Auto. I
might recommend a firing squad with instant replay. Closeups of the
weapons as well as the Discovery Health channel doing the autopsy on
the firing range. A public hanging is too tame for current viewers. I
guarantee it would appear as a front page article in the National
Rifle Association's magazine. Everyone gets a piece. It's a sure
thing. I recall Phil Donohue petitioning the correctional system to
allow him to broadcast an execution. That was before the computer
games, though.

We could even get that afterlife guy to do a play by play of the
convict's soul on it's way to Hell. Thing big, guys. This is show biz.

Having spent 20 years in New York City I'm convinced laws are just
official suggestions (except those dealing with rent increases).
Every single stop sign in the city is defective. Traffic lights are
Christmas decorations left up all year round. They make the city
really pretty during a snowstorm or when the streets are wet and the
colors reflect in the water.
