WGN's Bob Collins (was Re: [BC] Weirdo dials)

in the immediate aftermath of the accident, Collins's widow filed a lawsuit
or lawsuits against one or two parties connected with the crash. I think
one was with the family of the flight student in the other airplane. These
were widely reported, then.....nothing. I'm assuming they were quietly
settled or dropped.

Bob and the other pilot were both a few miles out on approach to
Waukegan Municpal Airport when the collision occured. The other pilot
mistakenly turned early into the final approach and hit Collin's plane
which was already on final approach.

The bad karma for WGN AM personalities continues with Spike Odel's
house going up in smoke while on a cruise in Alaska last month.
