>>Big money is just trying to make their radio stations better. They are not
out to step on poor little you. I gotta go with Ron Castro. BUY YOUR own
station, and prove everybody wrong. Contrary to the belief of some, the big
boys did not get where they are by stealing from the little guys... they got
there by being smart enough to grow what they had.

How is putting IBOC on the air making it better? It's the same programming
and the same "squashed grape" sound. Do you think that just because it's
"digital" it's better? Wait until the loudness war moves over to digital.

The "big boys" got to where they are by buying out all the "little guys" so
they were the only players in town. Now they are gonna have to pony up
millions more for stations they over paid for to get this IBOC on the air.
And it's still gonna sound the same. Just wait until the loudness war moves
to IBOC. But it's not about little v. big to me. It's about trying to find
out what's behind the frenzy of IBOC. I have no axe to grind against Clear
Channel, Infinity, Cox, Radio One, Ibiquity, Harris or anyone else for that
matter. I just wanna know why.

And I don't really need to buy my own station to prove my point. I work
with small owners/operators and I see their way of doing business works.
And their way of doing business (programming) is best situated to counter
the onslaught of alternative programming that the listener is faced with
today. What would you rather listen to? A station and covers local news
and events, or a station that is voice tracked in every daypart? The
"little" stations I work with have much more listener loyalty than the "big"
stations do. It's easier to have loyal listeners when you connect with
them.
