Having grown up in Cincinnati, there were many 'homes of electronics'. There
were many specialty places such as University Sound and also a couple of
'real' electronic houses and surplus stores. Once, somewhat of a center for
electronics and manufacturing, Cincinnati offered many sources of parts.

One little store I want to mention is (was--not sure) in Marion, Indiana.
In this city there were numerous radio stations, a struggling litter UHF
station, still B&W in the mid to late 60's; and of course, RCA manufacturing
with their picture tubes for color TV sets. The shop was known as Meyer's
Electronics. It was in a home (or like a home) it was in a suburban home
filled street. The store had plenty of wooden shelves and sort of the smell
and feel that you guys might just recognize as the old time barbershop type
of feel.
