Aren't those things no longer legal? I remember discovering the ability to 
tune them in quite nicely with just a slight tweak of an AM radio's local osc 
and antenna trimmers. If the phone was right in the house, you could easily tune 
in to its image, down around 800Khz or so.

Those things had a fair amount of range! Not much privacy there!
