'where were you when Apollo 11 landed?'  discussion



I missed the actual landing by about 2 minutes, coming home from an outing with friends to
the Huzzah River, SW of St. Louis

However, I did see the 'one small step' later that evening at a service station in Mt.
Carmel, IL as I headed back to Louisville, KY

Listened to WHAS-AM the rest of the way back

Got to Louisville and turned on WHAS-TV to see the camera still on the flag outside the LM
