If the antenna system can handle the power and is broad enough to give a
good match and AM noise figures, diplexing is a very viable solution. It
also handles the IM issues as well.

In fact, it might even be about the same cost as the 2nd antenna and labor
to install, never mind the TX power would go down and you could go to a
smaller TX.
