The folks at Angle Linear make great preamps and especially bandpass 
filters for the STL band:

I have them in front of each of our digital STL rcvrs to keep out nearby 
junk.  Work great.  They will do custom filters for you, just tell them 
your application.  Especially handy if you're near 900mhz paging tx's.
