Maybe, but the predominent harmonics generated by the grid current in the PA stage are often odd-order which the even-order suppression won't help. The stub certainly will not hurt, though.

In any event, making a low-VSWR input circuit for a few hundred watts into a PA is fairly trivial. Just tune out the built-in grid circuit capacity, and "tickle" the resulting resonant circuit with a low-value capacitor from an input connector. Tweaking that capacitor and the grid resonance will result in a good match.
