Thanks to all who have replied to my request below-
I am concerned, when using any kind of switching which cannot be accomplished via LogMeIn or other remote control from anywhere. Many times someone has left the wrong source feeding the transmitter when they left the building for the day, or someone else starts using the studio unaware. We don't need to count the headaches this causes.
I think I have put together a way around this, at least on paper so far, which only requires one switcher, and only uses one of the switcher outputs, leaving the other output for "Net Catching" or whatever else its needed for. The down side is that work-a-round will use one or two additional inputs on the switcher, depending on the needs of the station or cluster.
I won't go into details here, but anyone having a similar issue can contact me and maybe we can both do our own testing and see if it does the job or not. My problem is TIME to get to some of these projects.
Thanks to Milton, Andy, Todd, for taking the time to reply!

Since I have seen several Scott SS-32 questions on the site I have another which is causing some head scratching--
In order to allow a sometimes LIVE studio to be used for other things when NOT LIVE we have chosen to make the studio just another source on an BT SS8.2 switcher. During LIVE shows the studio is switched ON via a different input on the switcher. The Scott Audio is normally fed direct to the switcher on its own input (used while automated) and it also feeds studio console which then feeds the SS-32 audio to the switcher along with other elements mixed during LIVE segments. The SS-32 is used as part of the LIVE shows for Spots/ Promos and music. Each time a file is played from the SS32 it instructs the switcher to add the SS32 on its direct audio input. This jumps the audio level and also then takes the ability of the Jock to control and talk over the audio from the SS32.
We have gone around the problem by disconnecting the SS32 direct feed to the SS8.2 switcher during live programming.
I know we are not the only ones which have run into this problem using the SS 32 system so I know there must be a way around this situation, but we have just not found it yet. Would appreciate any input any of you SS-32 vets have on this issue.
Thanks in advance-

At one installation that I am familiar with, which has similar
equipment, the console is not an input to the switcher, but vice-versa.
( The scott comes in on a mixer.)
Additionally, there is an air selector switch module on the console that
can feed the Scott, program, or audition to air.
The BT switcher can select from the three ASI cards in the Scott via a
BOB or any of several satellite receivers as controllled by the Scott.
This works satisfactorily for this particular station; YMMV..........

I installed dozens, if not hundreds as Milton describes with a switch, router or patch
bay that allows putting automation direct to air, freeing up the console for production.
We rarely did it the way you describe for exactly the reason you are writing. It just
doesn't work very well that way. It was only done if the customer demanded it, and i
found they usually didn't really understand what they were asking for.

I have added a second BT 8.2 switcher and that switches between SS-32 switcher and Studio
feed.
The SS32 can control 4 BT switchers. I have one SS32 controlling 3 BT8.2s without any
problems.
