With our adversaries now manning a fleet of killer satellites I suspect that
when that substance hits the fan many satellite feeds will become rather
useless. I witnessed that back in the early 80's when a satellite we had
became the target of a military "test." There was no dickering about the
action since the satellite had been registered as having a useful lifetime
that had expired a year prior but still was functioning for our use.

To add to this now that the military has finally realized that GPS is
vulnerable and has been having a few problems with its coverage and accuracy
they are currently conducting tests to revitalize the VLF Loran system as a
backup navigation source to bring things back down on the ground. Three
Loran C stations are now on the air.

It's worth looking at all of your alternatives.
