Here the RWTs are performed manually while monitoring the air audio. And
when running them via web control it is also easy to look at the EAS
receiver input levels and streams to make sure that all audio is there.
When alerts are flying around during the summertime I also have a little NWS
receiver that chirps allowing me to occasionally listen to the air audio for
quality control. In all end-to-end monitoring is done.
I also have some old decommissioned Sage 1822s set up for monitoring OTA
RWTs & RMTs only. It makes it easy to breeze by and glance at the paper
tape to make sure the week is going well.
As for logging I cut-and-paste each weeks logging from the 3644s and add it
to a boilerplate MS Word document. pick and choose the prepared comment
notes where applicable and save the file. Total time for one ENDEC is around
5 minutes time to complete a log.
