True, but then we potentially create an issue where the majority of those left are past the age of procreation.
That can present a situation where we may not have a way to sustain a viable population.
The problem is nurture, not nature. In a world where quarterbacks or reality show stars are the only things that inspire our youth, what's real loses out. One can still have their superstars, but that needs to be balanced with matters of the real world.
We need to do a better job of inspiring the young-uns to be more curious about those other parts of our existence.
