The post was a hack. It was not Darryl. Someone has been spoofing Darryl's email and trying to con people into sending money via "gift cards."

The actual replyto: address on the email tried to get people to respond to an outlook.com address, which would then send the con.  The mailserver for this list stripped that. 

I've spoken to Darryl, and he knows of the spoofing/hack.
